Airport Operations Officer – Destination Management Company (DMC)

Job Summary:

The Airport Representative serves as the first point of contact for clients arriving or departing through the airport. This role ensures a seamless and welcoming experience by assisting with luggage, guiding clients through airport procedures, and coordinating transfers to their destinations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Reception: Warmly greet and assist clients upon arrival and departure, handle luggage, and guide them to their transportation.
  • Immigration & Customs Support: Provide guidance on immigration and customs procedures, assist with forms, and support visa-on-arrival processes.
  • Customer Service: Offer destination-related information, including local customs, weather, and attractions. Address inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Transportation Coordination: Arrange and confirm transfers, including taxis, shuttles, or private vehicles, ensuring timely and smooth travel.
  • Check-In Assistance: Support clients with airline check-in, boarding passes, and security procedures. Coordinate hotel check-ins and communicate arrival details to hotels.
  • Issue Resolution: Manage travel-related challenges such as flight delays or lost luggage, delivering quick and effective solutions to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Collaborate with sales, operations, and other teams to ensure client needs are met and travel plans are executed flawlessly.
  • Record Management: Maintain accurate client and travel records, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Local Expertise: Share knowledge of local attractions, events, and services. Provide maps and resources to help clients navigate the area.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality, tourism, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, ideally in travel or hospitality.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment and 24/7 hours.
  • Familiarity with local attractions and services.
  • Multilingual abilities are an advantage. Excellent English is a must.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
